Rajendra K. Bansal, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has two locations in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and another near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, right across the street from Yankee Stadium. Dr. Bansal specializes in glaucoma surgery, and he’s performed thousands of glaucoma procedures throughout his career.

Dr. Bansal earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delhi in India. He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. He finished his educational training in New York City with a fellowship in glaucoma at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Washington Heights, Manhattan, where he’s been on staff since.

Dr. Bansal is an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. There, he trains residents and fellows and lectures at national meetings. He is the author of numerous articles in prestigious, peer-reviewed medical journals.
